Checklist · Interview Preparation

Modern Interview Preparation Checklist

A modernized preparation system built around role analysis, organizational research, evidence-rich examples, useful questions, logistics, accessible professional presentation, follow-up, and evaluating the opportunity itself.

Role evidence
Map the employer’s highest-priority needs to specific examples from your experience.
Flexible preparation
Prepare evidence rather than memorizing scripts, with prompts for accomplishments, conflict, feedback, setbacks, prioritization, and learning.
Accessible professionalism
Prioritize context, comfort, clarity, and accessibility rather than rigid stereotypes about eye contact, dress, stillness, or presentation.
Two-way evaluation
Track what you learn about the role, management, workload, priorities, contradictions, and remaining questions.

Quick 15-minute version: identify the top three needs in the posting, prepare three evidence-rich examples, research the organization and interviewer(s), prepare three questions, and verify logistics/technology.

Worksheet · Evidence Bank · Interview Planning

Interview Story Bank & Answer Planner

A reusable worksheet for turning experience into a flexible evidence bank. Build six to ten strong stories once, then map the right examples to each opportunity and question instead of improvising from scratch.

Role evidence map
Connect the top three employer needs to evidence and a specific story ID.
Story bank
Capture situation, task, action, result, reflection, competencies, and the boundaries of what you can accurately claim.
Question-to-story map
Choose primary and backup examples for accomplishments, conflict, leadership, feedback, prioritization, learning, and role-specific questions.
Debrief loop
Record questions, examples used, what you learned, what you would revise, promised follow-up, and new evidence to add to the bank.
Worksheet · Evidence Recovery · Résumé / Portfolio Planning

Career Accomplishment Inventory

A reusable system for recovering evidence from work, school, volunteering, projects, caregiving, community work, and other experience—then translating the same accomplishment for résumés, interviews, portfolios, performance reviews, and cover letters.

Recover overlooked work
Prompts surface improvement, scale, quality, efficiency, growth, building, problem solving, leadership, trust, access, and learning—even when the formal title undersells the work.
Quantify without inventing
Use defensible counts, rates, before/after change, time, money, frequency, breadth, or documented recognition; use qualitative evidence when a number would be false precision.
Separate memory from proof
Record the supporting report, spreadsheet, email, evaluation, award, artifact, calendar item, public page, or other evidence and its confidentiality status.
Reuse one fact well
Translate the same evidence into a résumé bullet, interview story, portfolio case, performance-review contribution, or concise cover-letter example.

Especially useful for older or nonlinear experience: the recovery prompts point users back to old résumés, emails, agendas, dashboards, presentations, certificates, public pages, screenshots, colleague feedback, calendars, and version history.

Method note: these tools treat interview preparation as an evidence problem. They are designed to help users retrieve accurate examples, connect them to the role, and adapt them in conversation—not to manufacture a persona or memorize generic answers. Read the methodology note →
